Key Responsibilities

  • Vision Alignment: Collaborate with the founder(s) to refine and implement the company’s vision, ensuring all activities align with strategic objectives.
  • Strategic Guidance: Offer expert advice and insights to assist in decision-making processes, identifying growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Operational Support: Help translate the founder’s vision into actionable strategies, supporting the operational execution of key initiatives.
  • Resource Optimization: Assess current resources and recommend adjustments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams, ensuring that departments work together effectively toward common objectives.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship to key team members, fostering a culture of development and empowering emerging leaders within the organization.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and track progress against the founder’s vision.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote the founder’s vision and secure support for initiatives.
  • Flexible Engagement: Adapt to the needs of the organization, providing support for specific projects or initiatives as required.

  1. Quality of Strategic Recommendations: Achieve an 85% satisfaction rating from the founder(s) on the relevance and effectiveness of strategic advice.
  2. Frequency of Consultations: Hold a target number of advisory sessions (e.g., 4 per month) with the founder(s) and key stakeholders.
  3. Implementation Rate of Recommendations: Aim for a 70% implementation rate of strategic recommendations accepted by the leadership team.
  4. Clarity and Alignment in Vision: Attain an 80% clarity score in surveys assessing employee understanding of the company’s vision.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement Level: Achieve a specific percentage of positive responses (e.g., 75%) on stakeholder engagement surveys.
  6. Diversity of Perspectives: Ensure a varied input in strategic discussions, encouraging diverse viewpoints in all advisory sessions.
  7. Feedback on Strategic Frameworks: Obtain 80% satisfaction on the frameworks and methodologies suggested during consultations.
  8. Follow-Up Engagement: Set a target for follow-up meetings (e.g., 2 per quarter) to ensure ongoing support.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Preferably over two decades of experience collaborating with Fortune 500 companies
    • 10+ years of minimum experience in leadership roles, with a focus on supporting founders or executives in startup or growth environments.
    • Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
    • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing organisational needs.
    • Should possess a strong understanding of the latest technological developments.
