Job Overview

The Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will provide strategic leadership and expertise in marketing on a part-time basis, helping to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities

  1. Marketing Strategy Development:
    • Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
  2. Brand Management:
    • Oversee brand positioning and messaging, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  3. Digital Marketing Leadership:
    • Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
  4. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  5. Customer Engagement:
    • Develop strategies to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty through targeted campaigns and initiatives.
  6. Performance Metrics:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and report on outcomes.
  7. Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Work closely with sales, product, and finance teams to ensure cohesive execution of marketing initiatives.
  8. Budget Management:
    • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and alignment with strategic priorities.
  9. Team Leadership:
    • Mentor and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.

  4. Campaign ROI: Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) for marketing campaigns, ensuring positive financial outcomes.
  5. KPI Achievement: Ensure established KPIs are met or exceeded on a regular basis.
  6. Market Positioning: Monitor changes in market positioning and share as a result of marketing strategies.
  7. Customer Retention Rate: Measure improvements in customer retention and loyalty following marketing initiatives.
  8. Budget Adherence: Monitor marketing budget performance and ensure alignment with strategic initiatives.
  9. Team Performance: Assess improvements in marketing team performance and engagement levels.
  10. Stakeholder Satisfaction: Gauge engagement and satisfaction levels from key stakeholders through feedback and surveys.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably in a fractional capacity.
    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
